As Elliott Erwitt rightly said “Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times…I just shoot at what interests me at that moment.”.
That is me, I always carry my camera even with in my house. That is the only reason why I didn’t miss taking pictures of my daughter, My daughter is now 3, and I haven’t missed a single day taking her picture.
was born in Reezarboo/Bhutan, studied in various north-eastern states of India, family settled in Delhi, India. Currently I live in New Jersey, USA with my beautiful wife and a little angel, my 5 year old daughter.
Being a son of military personnel, In childhood I have traveled to many exotic and untouched places in north-eastern states of India. At that time I didn’t have any device to freeze the scene but to store in my biological memory. I still remember the dense forest behind our house, fresh water stream flowing next to us and an open sky. I can still feel the freshness of those places. In early 90’s when we got our first manual camera, we were so excited and I used to never loose any opportunity to click our family pictures. Then in late 90’s, my brother gifted me my first digital camera – Minolta Dimage S304. I went just crazy with it until I got first SLR “Nikon D80” in 2007. Since then, I have been busy exploring real light.
I love taking pictures from candid to landscapes, portraits to flora and fauna, creative to fun shots. I try my best to explore new places, culture, people and history. I strongly believe in “You cherish a place only when you are there, but photographs are cherished life long“.
